CE certification

CE certification attests that a product meets the safety, health and environmental protection standards laid down by the European Union: it means the product can be legally placed on the market in the European Economic Area, and guarantees compliance with the applicable European legislation.

The MS2 GNSS receiver is certified under the CE marking and related requirements pursuant to:

  • the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU
  • Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS III), which updates Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS II)

It also complies with the harmonised technical standards:

  • ETSI EN 300 328 v2.2.2
  • ETSI EN 303 413 v1.2.1

It likewise meets strict criteria for safety, sustainability and responsible waste management, assuring customers of a high level of quality and reliability.

Compliance testing

In November 2023 the SoluTOP MS2 GNSS system underwent certification testing at the DEKRA laboratory in Thiene (Vicenza, Italy), accredited by ACCREDIA, which certified its RF compliance.

Two reports were issued:

  • the first certifies compliance with EN 300 328 v2.2.2 for Bluetooth transmission in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, verifying that the RF power and the spurious emissions are within the limits set for wideband systems.
  • the second certifies compliance with EN 303 413 v1.2.1 for the GNSS receiver operating in the 1559-1610 MHz band, confirming that the spurious emissions of the device in receiving mode are within the regulatory limits.

Both tests were carried out in a semi-anechoic chamber. The device met all the essential requirements of article 3.2 of the RED Directive 2014/53/EU, making it eligible for CE marking and for sale on the European market.

CE label

Below is an example of the label applied to every unit produced, which identifies it uniquely by its serial number.

On the bottom of the receiver there is a grey adhesive label, as shown in the figure below. At the far right of the label there is a QR code: scanning it with the camera of a smartphone or tablet takes you straight to the page on starting the receiver for the first time.
